Time lapse Project

My grandmother had this christmas cactus that she was about to throw out because it kept showing buds and then they would shrivel up and fall off and it just wasn't flowering for her and she was getting frustrated with it. So instead of her throwing it away I asked her if I could have it. I now own a very lovely christmas cactus. The best part of all this for me is that a few weeks ago I looked at my cactus and low and behold there it was a little flower bud all nice and green and health. lets just say I was very pleased with my self. Knowing what had happened with my grandmother and the flower buds I waited a while to see if it would grow or fall off. luckily for me it is still growing. Now this is where we get to the time lapse I have set up my camera on a tripod in front of my cactus flower and have my alarm set. At 9 every morning I get up and take one picture of my flowers progress. It is actually amazing how much it has grown in the last 5-6 days. I'm going to keep this up until it is a fully grown blossomed flower. We shall see how it turns out in the end.

got the Etsy shop up and running again it was lacking there for a while when I came back to it I'm pretty sure I only had about 3-4 photo listings that Hadn't expired yet. So I am trying to get back into the social media thing because I have lost touch with it lately and just haven't had the time for it. I really am going to try and make time for it now and get this blog up and running smoothly again.

Has it really been that long!!!

 Holy Crap I haven't been on here in forever and I am really sorry about that. I am sad to say that I haven't been doing as much photography as I would have liked to do this summer but I am hoping to finish the summer with a bang. So I guess since I haven't posted in a while I should post some new photos to show you what I have been up to.
 

 

Wow

I just realized that I haven't blogged since november 2010 and it is now february 2011. So I guess there is a lot of updating to do then. I have been really busy lately with a new job which is going to be helping me pay for all of my equipment which I am really looking forward to so that I can do some more photography and some better stuff for you. The only draw back with this job is that I have virtually no time to do photography because I am working all the time. So I am working on getting all that figured out. Also My grandfather recently passed away and so we have been helping my grandmother adjust to that which she is doing really well with. Anyways I really have to get some work done  so I'm going to get back to it.

Been doing a bunch!

I have been doing a bunch of stuff these past few weeks. I did a show this weekend which turned out to be a good show. I also got a new Etsy shop to sell my freelance photography and jewelry. I have also been working away designing some new necklaces that I think are going to be pretty cool. I still have to get all the supplies to make them but the sketches and that are looking awesome. but anyways just thought that I should update this a little bit. Ill try and post some images a little later.

Working on stuff!

So I'm currently working on a few things I have a show coming p at the end of this month so I have to start getting things ready for that and I just got an order for 6 necklaces that I have to do up now so that Should be fun. I'm also doing up some sketches of some portraits that I am thinking of doing in the next little while I haven't been doing very many portraits lately and I think that I should get back into that a bit more even if it is just creative stuff. I haven't done anymore church images yet but I'm thinking that I might change it up a little and do a couple of tweaks to the series and instead of just photos of all the old churches I'm going to do different shots of the churches I have already done such as doing night shots of them all and some other ideas I'm currently toying with in my head right now. Guess I should get dome sleep more work to do tomorrow!
